More speculation about when iPhone 4G will be coming

 

It doesn’t come as particularly shocking news, but Boy Genius Report is saying today that AT&T has confirmed to its employees that the next-generation iPhone will be available in June! The phone will be available for purchase in June, not July, and probably won’t even be late June.

Apple’s CEO Steve Jobs will kick off the Worldwide Developers conference 2010 with a keynote address on Monday, June 7, this stage is expected to see the unveiling of the next iPhone and a retail release could follow imminently.

Through investigations within the iPhone OS 4.0, it appeared that the rear camera will have the ability to record HD video (presumably 720p) so the most logical name for the new iPhone and one that has been banded around for a while is iPhone HD. Apple also has little direction for naming, iPhone 4G would be incorrect and misleading (not many 4G networks around).

New feature in WhatsApp

I’ve been always wanting to be able to delete any message from a WhatsApp chat log with any user. This will definitely be helpful if you have certain messages with important information and at the same time you don’t want to keep the whole chat history. So what I did, I’ve emailed the guys and got their reply as: “coming in the next version” so despite their so-much-dry answer without any pleasant words like “dear customer” or “thanks for contacting us“, yet I found it cool that they are actually working on it already.

Official Twitter App for iPhone

Twitter Inc. have released their own official application for iPhone, simply called Twitter, yet in US store only. Despite that, I still like to use twittelator since it’s so handy and easy to use.

Steve Jobs on email again

I’m not quite sure about how authenticated such emails are, but I’d love to give it a try one day and send this amazing person an email and see if he replies back or not. This time, an iPad user sent him and email inquiring about the printing capability of iPad, and when Apple will be having it available for its customers. SJ answered this by saying “it will come.” implying “we are having it on our roadmap“, or “we are already working on it“, or “we are still thinking about it” OR possibly “Wow! such a great idea, but we claim it for ourselves“!

The latest news from Zain

It seems that Zain have upgraded their MMS system to cater for an attachment (picture or video) of  1MB rather than the normal 300Kb size. I think this is a great move albeit being little late kind of.

More of iPad news

Apple has confirmed the release date of iPad in 8 more countries along with UK. iPad will be available in Canada, Germany, Australia, France, Japan, Spain, Italy and Switzerland on May 28th. They will also make it available 9 other countries in the month of July too. Those include Singapore, Netherlands, Mexico, New Zealand, Austria, Belgium, Ireland, Hong Kong, Mexico and Luxembourg.

Already reaching 1 million !!

Apple announced that they have officially sold their 1 million iPad last Friday. It’s really remarkable the hype the iPad gained in such short time, and people are still queuing at Apple stores trying to get one for themselves. The press release is here.

New Kuwaiti iPhone App!

Not that I wanted to make free advertisement about anything, but I found this app kind of interesting where by some news are being collected from different newspaper and fed into one place on iPhone. So, it’s basically like an RSS but with pictures.

Now I think this is really nice, cool, and would be so time efficient for railway companies, but since it’s just a fresh Chinese concept, would it really be implemented that easily?

Letter from Apple to Gizmodo

Following the story of the stolen or lost prototype of the promised 4G iPhone, here we have the letter that Apple has sent through its senior legal counsel to Gizmodo asking them for the handover of the device to them. Apparently the person who lost or forgot the device at the bar, was a software engineer who had the phone for testing.
