Blessed by God and his mercy, we have had our Umra in relatively easy conditions albeit the unexpected crowds visiting Mecca this time of the year coming mainly from Turkey, Egypt, Iraq, South Asia. The most enjoyable thing – other than being there in that holy place – is the joy and unprecedented happiness that I saw in my little kid’s and two sisters’ eyes being there for the first time, that was truly priceless. This time was the first for me to lead the group, but certainly, I won’t hesitate to repeat it again. I recommend traveling on board Wataniya Airways since it had a good timings in the departure from and to Kuwait (i.e. 2pm and 5 pm), and to stay at Hilton Mecca which I really prefer over the rest of the hotels simply because it has first of all decent rooms, good services, and delicious food, and on top of that, it has a small shopping mall attached to it with a super market in it, that’s obviously beside being a minute walk from the holy mosque. All in all, it was an amazing break.

I’m taking my family to Saudi Arabia for the wholy city of Mekkah to do Umra, and will be back by Wednesday. I’m note quite sure though if I should post anything from there, because I think in such holly places, you really need to detach yourself from the whole world!

I got me for the first time yesterday this nice and casual pair of Crocs suitable for jeans and deshdasha as well. I guess I’ll be so much fascinated by Crocs from now on since I thought it was only for basic old models, or so how it started, but as they are growing big time now (so much logically though!), they have became to have different models for men and women (I hope I’m not only discovering this now!). Anyways, they are really having variety of models and colors that suite every taste. Only thing about the price, I got this pair for KD24, while on their Crocs’s website, it was only for $60 (~ KD17)!

We had our dinner tonight in 360 mall at one of the old and well known restaurants in Kuwait, and when I asked for the bill, I was little shocked that they added some extra charges “per head” ! I simply refused to pay this, and the waiter asked the manager and he mentioned that this is in the menu, I insisted that this is not lawful, and again I’m not going to pay that amount (even though it was only 750 fils, but I was talking principle here!) eventually, they took out this amount. I would love to imagine how many people out there accept paying such extra charges, or others who do not notice them at all!
Just be careful enough on what you pay, and always stand firm.

I’ve been looking for this cover from Tumi, and whenever I asked the dealer here in Kuwait, they say “Not available at the moment, and we’re waiting for the new shipment to come”. As it sounds, there is a huge demand for the cover which is selling at around KD16, and you are suppose get it from any branch of Tanagra, so since it’s not available, you will need to put your name and phone number, and they will call whenever they have shipment received.

I just got an email about this website Daily Makeover, whereby girls can check and use to test for their makeup stuff before going actually to the beauty salons. I didn’t check it out, cause I don’t need to (nor do I know what to do with it anyways!), but it really looks great and interesting.

Can wait no more to travel to London end of this month and get me the MacBook Pro. I’m planning to have the 13-inch 2.53GHz one, and just to upgrade the RAM to 8GB and the HDD to 500GB. I was told that the customization will not take more than an hour time at the store, which is extremely super service from Apple.

There’s that guy who happen to be a “public figure” (I question this anyway) who appear everywhere, anywhere, anytime, and in however way possible. I personally do not like him that muchWould any one like a person who appears in every magazine, TV channel, websites, and probably under your pillow!!
Did u guess who?

I just got from Alghanim electronic my new Sony DSC T300. It’s 10.1 Mega pixel & 5 digital zoom with Super Steady Shot image stabilization. It’s for KD129 and comes with 2GB memory card. The main thing about it is the 3.5″ touch-screen. It’s also packed full of the latest special modes and functions, including ‘smile shutter,’ that only takes the photo once your subject is smiling.

My son Talal (6 years) is now Chickenpoxed. Before that, his little brother Dhari (4 years) was, so obviously he got infected. The problem is that we are travelling in two days, so not sure how things will go.
