A 45 Gigapixel photo!!
May 11, 2010An image taken of landscape in Dubai has taken the top spot as the world’s largest digital photo. This gigapixel photo that can be viewed at GigaPan.org, topped out at 45 gigapixels, thus if printed, it would be the size of around 1200 billboards. It has been taken by a photographer called Gerald Donovan using a camera that utilizes technology employed by NASA’s Mars Rover. It’s just amazing, but the question is: When this will be commercially available for consumers? And most importantly, is it really needed for regular people?

These are remarkably amazing and so much of an art in it. One can say the reason we don’t have stuff like that here in Kuwait is the weather, etc. Well ok at least we have around 4 or 5 months in the year where the weather become relatively nice, so why don’t we just have something like this at that time?
What did Stan Munro amazingly do?

For you to use toothpicks, stick them together, and form sort of a certain object, it must be taking ages from you to do it. But this 41 years old New Yorker used millions of toothpicks to form what he called the Toothpick City that he started in 2003 and then magically sold in 2005; seemed so hard to believe at the beginning I suppose.

Rice Art
February 20, 2010One of the amazing creativities of the man kind is how you use the seeds to create an artistic picture in your farm. It’s unlike the regular art where we create certain picture of the seeds, rather, this time simply implanting these seeds to get you eventually fine art in the rice farm. This has been started in a village in Japan called Inakadate back in 1994 mainly to attract more tourists.
