Expensive wedding dresses!

March 31, 2010

How much expensive can wedding dresses go? The wedding dressings below are obvious example that some really exceed the million dollars barrier. I’m glad they appeared after I got married anyway. Below are the pictures of couple of dresses with the cost of each.

Remote control aircrafts

March 30, 2010

I have not really fantasized the remote control vehicles despite that I liked the idea of having one, but didn’t bother to actually own a one. They are amazingly nice and fun to have, but they need some dedication and maintenance as well as time too! In these pictures below sample of a huge remote control A380 aircraft which sounds really cool. The link here is also for its video.

Can you hold your horses before clicking on the link below to know what this picture is all about? Give yourself all the time you need, but eventually I bet you will never ever guess how this picture was taken. I can confidently say here that I have absolutely no idea whatsoever how such people come with such wild ideas like this!

I leave it to project Icarus to speak about itself, and do not forget to watch the videos too.

Amazing holiday distenation

Center Parc.jpg

A friend of mine suggested that I check this website of a place in UK called Center Parcs to spend part of the summer vacation in it. The pictures below are from the one in Sherwood, mid of England and it’s around 3 hours drive from central London, but they do have other places closer to it (they have 3 more ones). I hate staying at London during summer, and never thought of going there no matter how fun it is for reasons probably many people know, yet I find this place an ideal one to visit in summer. Basically you book your accommodation there as they have different type of villas ranging from 1 to 4 bedrooms, and the activities there are just amazing for both the adults as well as the kids. This place is car-free zone, so all cars are suppose to be parked Read the rest of this entry »

A traditional ceremony at an international border

March 29, 2010

Wagah_border_lahore

A very strange and funny ceremony is performed on a daily basis between the forces both India and Pakistan at their international meeting point of Wagah. Wagah is simply a village that was divided between both countries during the British rule, so in reality, it’s like the Berlin of Asia. It’s kind of funny in its own, and more surprisingly

What’s so special about this picture?

March 28, 2010

One-Stroke-Pen

It is unbelievably amazing! The moment I have received an email with this picture I looked immediately at it and could not figure out what is so special about it, until I read the associated text with it which reads: “All done with a single pen stroke!”. The drawing starts at the tip of the nose and ends at the bottom. It’s “copyrighted 1884, by the publishers, Knowles & Maxim”.

Would you ever refuse a prize of 1m Dollars?

March 27, 2010
Grigori_Perelman.jpg

I’m talking about a prize that you rightly and legally earned!! I would definitely not!

But for some unknown reason, this genius Russian mathematician Dr. Grigori Perelman, who has solved a problem that is described as one of the oldest, complicated, and unsolved problems since 1904, refused to take the prize from an American institute as a reward for his unprecedented effort. I’m just simply not digesting how or why a person like him simply refuse a prize of that amount, but I trust that he has his own reasons, as much as I trust that he – in a way – pissed his close family and friends off big time. By the way, it was not his first time to refuse a prize!! So now I’m also pissed off !!

Click here to read about the problem he solved, in case you are interested!

2010 Earth Hour

March 27, 2010

earth hour.jpg

The Earth Hour is set to symbolize the people’s sympathy with our mother Earth towards what its Sons are doing to it; extensive utilization of its resources and damaging its natural life cycle. This is the official video for this year’s Earth Hour which is set for today 27th March 2010 at 08:30 local time all around the world. And as they said in the video description “Earth Hour works best when we all get involved“.

A must seen video

March 26, 2010

After a very exhaustive week, all what I needed is a video similar to this one! You probably have met Yehya already or not, but you got to see this video and probably get yourself introduced to this gentleman later on.

Online pharmacy

March 22, 2010

kuwait pharma

They say it is a humanitarian, but they still take KD1 for the delivery. This website Pharma Kuwait delivers your medicines to your door anytime of the day after you fill in the form needed, so it’s kind of an online pharmacy. I did not find their website attractive to begin with, but I liked the idea itself since some people might not be able to get their medicine due to any reason, so this pharmacy does this job. They also have medical tools like diabetes measure devices, or blood pressure devices, as well as all other things that you might find in any pharmacy.

One question here though is to do with the medicines that needed to be given upon prescriptions; I wonder what’s their step taken towards that where a pharmacist need to examine it?

When you complain about traffic jam

March 22, 2010

Do yourself a favor by remembering the pictures below whenever you are stuck in a traffic jam and you feel so frustrated about it. It’s true that we need to look up at things to better enhance our lives, but in order to appreciate what is in our hands already, we sometime need to look down too!

But I have a question here anyways, doesn’t it this have anything to do with the culture of the nation? I mean being a very organized people and so?

I leave you with the pictures now..
